I never thought of myself as all that unusual among avid readers, but lately I’ve begun to wonder if I am not somewhat unique. My passion is fiction, and I read in every genre. I discovered long ago that a lot of what has been marketed as romance fiction, is stuff that, had it been written by a man and aimed at a masculine consumer, would have been marketed as historical adventure.
